ABOUT JOAN
Well, I’m a life-long Orange County gal who has been a practicing licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in south Orange County for close to thirty years (and still loving it!). I've been working with
individuals and families since 1984, so there are not many life challenges with which I'm not familiar. One might say I have many “specialties.”
PHILOSOPHY
My personal philosophy about the counseling process is the same as being a good parent; if I’m doing a good job, then I’m constantly working myself out of a job! Pain is Mother Nature’s way of telling us something needs to change, so a lot of discussion happens in my office and that leads to insight and that leads to change.
SERVICES
Some of my areas of expertise are marriage, divorce, parenting,
boom-a-rang young adults, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, relationship difficulties, school issues as well as helping to answer the often asked question, “Why am I pretty/handsome, have a great job,
own my own home, in my thirties and still not married?”
